Every sporran I have come across was more than roomy enough to hold lots of stuff. I never imagined any man saying that his sporran was too small. How large are these Italian personal ID documents? I would suggest just shopping around a bit to find a large enough sporran. You can also make your own basic one. The pattern is quite simple.
A quick Google search yielded this link: http://members.aol.com/randwhit/patterns.htm#pouch My dad and I have made several over the years, we just made the pattern up ourselves or reversed-engineered existing ones.
Yes, and the Sporganiser is an awesome idea. It will keep ya from losing stuff in your sporran when you do find a big one.

Everybody quit ordering Contemporary FK's.
Then I can finish my "The Art of Kiltmaking" X Marks Tartan tank with pockets.
So far I have half the pleating done, one of the side slash pockets in and the aprons finished. Shouldn't be more than another 4 months to finish.
Then there is the "Dress Model" FK to design. Wash & wear fabrics, Straps & buckles, 2" rise, and all the pockets in the world.

Have also seen a number of Scottish supply houses that sell leather belt pouches to supplement sporrans. They look like American Civil War era bullet pouches.
All this highlights a gripe of mine. I just flat don't understand why most companies selling sporrans don't include the size of the sporran, measurements, cubic capacity, something in their ads. Even just photographing the sporrans next to something of a common size would help.

I've got the same gripe as Riverkilt- it would be nice to know how large sporrans are before you buy one. I use a fannypack simply because what I carry around at work would probly challenge even a Freelander: Cellphone, camera, mulitiple sets of keys, address books, maglight, leatherman, busisness cards, wallet and more. It's either in the pack or my briefcase.A sporran just isn't up to it.

Heres the type pack I wear at work. It's got plenty of room plus a seperate cell-phone pocket.

Did you get that pack on ebay or local? I like the cell phone pocket. Looks like it has plenty of room.
By the way, Hope everyone has a Happy Hollidays! Got my brother inlaw and sister inlaw coming over for dinner tomorrow He is a single malt man.

It's one I picked up locally. I've had it for around two years. The cellphone pocket is just the right size and the small front pocket is ideal for my camera. Here's where I got the pic,I used it because I don't have my camera with me.The one I have is 100% identical to the one shown.

"21st Century Kilts" (TFCK) - www.21stcenturykilts.com - give you the option of having detachable pockets with your kilt: add pockets for casual wear and remove pockets for more formal wear. They may not be the handsomest of pockets, but they certainly are capacious!

It took me a while to find a wallet that I thought fit well into the sporran I wear most of the time, but I finally found one. I keep a full wallet, tobacco pouch, lighter, pipe tamper, chapstick & a small pipe in my pretty standard sized sporran and it all seems to fit nicely. I do have to clip my cellphone to my belt though.
