It's great that you found this place right at the start of your kilted journey. There are so many options out there it can make your head spin! Just keep your cool, refrain from typing in that credit card into the first website you find, and make sure that you're going to be satisfied with your first purchase.

I found Xmarks before I got a kilt and it was amazingly helpful then and has been a constant source of good advice and fun discussion since then.

One of the nice things that you'll find is that no one here has an axe to grind...the prevailing philosphy seems to be that it's more significant that you get kilted than how much you drop on the purchase...it's really special to invest in that "tank" but it's certainly great to get that starter kilt and join the ranks of the merrily kilted.
