I got some good knee-high socks from my mother, and also a nice sweater, which I suppose isn't directly kilt related, but my mother suggested that it would go well with some of my kilts. She was right!

i didn't get anything kilt related, but i did give a kilt and some kilt related items. my dad has a homemade ancient kilt that he wears to renaissance festivals, but that's the extent of his kilted life. i have in my possession an acrylic blackwatch kilt that i got off ebay that no longer fits so i told him that he could have it if he wanted. at first he wasn't too hip on the idea, but a couple of months ago he called and asked if he could still have it and could he borrow some of my extra accessories so that he could wear them to my sisters wedding this summer (now the kilt i offered him isn't a formal kilt, but it does look pretty decent for what paid for it and it is a very casual wedding so i think he'll look fine). so for xmas i gave him the kilt along with a pair of kilt hose, black watch flashes, a leather day wear sporran, and a sgian dubh. he was psyched and i think he'll look great at the wedding, and hopefully he'll wear it other times as well. :-D it truely is better to give than to recieve...

My wife got me a gorgeous black leather bomber jacket that I'd had my eye on. It will look great with my kilts...sort of a "Duncan" from MOTG casual look.

Not actually kilts but...
My sister got me the book "Illustrated History of Scotland" by Chris Tabraham and photographs by Colin Baxter. Really great book! I recommend...

Nothing directly kilt related for me. But I did get some cash, which I am going to use to get a kilt pin and a some new kilt hose, and put the rest towards another kilt.

The boys and I are wearing our Robertson Red kilts from USA Kilts, Buzz Kidder sporrans, etc. and they are great. Mine is a semi-Traditional, as is my oldest's, the others are casuals.
Kudos to Rocky and Kelly, who get full marks from the buyer!
We just got back from the store where the boys relished in the attention without showing attention they got.
The only thing I'm missing is a kilt jacket.
Thanks be to God for such a great set of in-laws.

Hey, glad to hear that you are no longer un-kilted!
It sounds like I need to set my sights higher next year when I make my Christmas list.

Just got back from Christmas with the family so a belated Merry Christmas to all!!
My wonderful spouse out did herself this year. Even after agreeing that the Harris Tweed jacket I bought on ebay was at least part of my Christmas; she did the following
2 kilt pins; one lion rampant one thistle
2 pair wool kilt hose; one black one bottle green
A jacobian kilt shirt; navy blue microfiber
A Nightstalker kilt from Stillwater
The rest of the family chipped in with several tee shirts that will work well with my kilts.
All in all, kilt wise, I think I made out like a little fat rat...

My wife ordered me a Stillwater Nightstalker Kilt, which I got early:-) . My sister bought me a gold sword cilt pin. And with some nice Christmas money I already ordered a new camo cilt from Sportkilt and two pairs of cilt socks.
