Kilt related I received a Freelander sporran which I have already posted about, Matt Newsome's Compendium of District Tartans and an antique fly plaid brooch with a pin so large I'm afraid of it. It's nice though,

My wife got me a black chain knit sweater that goes great with the Livingston tank. I just missed out on a PC, Dad didn't know my size :-(

Since the death of my partner ten years ago I have neither given nor received Christmas gifts. Instead I make a donation to our hospice and ask anyone who might be thinking of giving me a gift to do the same. However, this year the system partially failed and I received two gifts: 1) - a pair of gorgeous loden kilt hose by 'Orvis' with red and mustard diced turn overs, and 2) - a DVD of the World Pipe Band Championships 2005 (almost two hours of amazing music, and hundreds of kilts!!)

I did not get anything kilt related, but my wife did wear my AK and actually looked a lot better in it than I ever could.

Although it wasn't given to me for Christmas, but rather purchased today at after Christmas prices, I got this cute little Santa from Kohl's:

We've decided to name him Hamish McClaus.

    I got my wife

and because We live in a little town the post mistress flagged me down on main St. and told me to check the post at the mail room and low and behold on christmas day was my gordon kilt from Stillwater, what a surprise!!!

Wore it for Christmas dinner. My mother in-law sent me money and it covered the cost of the kilt. :-)

    Not actually kilts but...

My sister got me the book "Illustrated History of Scotland" by Chris Tabraham and photographs by Colin Baxter. Really great book! I recommend...

Nothing directly kilt related for me. But I did get some cash, which I am going to use to get a kilt pin and a some new kilt hose, and put the rest towards another kilt.

The boys and I are wearing our Robertson Red kilts from USA Kilts, Buzz Kidder sporrans, etc. and they are great. Mine is a semi-Traditional, as is my oldest's, the others are casuals.

Kudos to Rocky and Kelly, who get full marks from the buyer!

We just got back from the store where the boys relished in the attention without showing attention they got.

The only thing I'm missing is a kilt jacket.

Thanks be to God for such a great set of in-laws.
