A CD of the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band from my sis and two pairs of kilt hose from mum. When I opened the first pair (black) I was delighted because I only have one black pair which has seen heavy use recently. Someone asked about sock colour coordination and I went on for a while on this topic, ending by saying that only a piper would wear white hose. Then I opened up the second pair of white hose. Looks like I'll be taking up the pipes, I declared.
    I've kilt for less.

Only one kilt related gift, although I received some books and music that are Celtic-ly connected :-D . My wife Tracy got me a Walker Metalsmiths flyplaid brooch that goes well with the kilt pin I bought from them this past fall.

Bryan...gonna have to start dressing up, I guess...

My oldest was pleasantly surprised to receive his Nightstalker. He was definitely not expecting it. It fits him very well, tho' the apron does need to be re-pressed into an A-line on the left side, as has been discussed on this forum before. He doesn't want me to hem it, but I think it could use at least a 1/2" turn up.

He's not wearing it now because he's gone off to spend the rest of the week at the lake with my father. That should tell you how nice our weather has been.

    OUCH!

    Good recovery, though.

Let's see, my wife got me
    • a Black Watch kilt from Heritage of Scotland
    • a navy Jacobite shirt
    • a sporran
    • a sporran chain
    • a new pair of off-white kilt hose
    • a kilt belt with buckle - nice little thistle emblem on the buckle.
Yeah, I cleaned up. And the best part is that I didn't spend any money from my kilt fund for Christmas (I was going to buy myself a Stillwater Black Watch) and now I can save up for another one... thinking about the UK Survival kilt.

Though I could also use a brown sporran now that I have two black ones... oh, the choices we kilted folk face.

I also got a new Notre Dame fleece sweatshirt that looks great with the new kilt and will definitely get worn to watch the Fightin' Irish beat up on the Bugeyes (as will the kilt).

Also got a nice Guinness Rugby shirt from my brother - which looks nice with a kilt. It was a good holiday, I must say.

Got some pajama pants (don't know what they are really called) in blackwatch, is that close enough? They are flannel and much nicer around the house than sweat pants.
Bought myself a kilt, already discussed her, not delivered yet. Did get the two pair of plain flashes, blue & green.
