Dang, I wish we Americans would celebrate *all* the days of Christmas. Once the 26th hits, it is back to life as usual as if nothing happened. Kinda sad really.
Oh and to stay on topic... i will sheepishly admit that I didn't wear my kilt at all. I never really had the chance. I had to work on Christmas Eve, and Christmas day was too busy. Besides, I haven't bought an everyday kilt that I can treat like a pair of jeans yet. But I am eyeballing a UK and/or a Bear kilt.

Since I spent Christmas entirely on my own and have been hobbling about the house, I did not make any attempt to 'dress up' for the occasion! My 2001 olive 'standard' Utilikilt stood me in good stead.
I had a friend coming to stay over the New Year for a couple of days, with two restaurant outings booked, but I've cancelled his visit and the restaurant bookings, so there'll be no smart dressing then either.

I think I posted this earlier but what the heck I'll do it again.
Christmas Eve was my Albanach four yard box pleat (aka Matt Newsome) in the Carolina District Tartan w/ Freelander sporran, cream sweater, matching kilt hose and black wing tips.
Christmas Day was my Ireland's National USAK casual w/ a cableknit sweater in orange/gold to match the stripe in the tartan along with grey & green wool hiking socks and low rise running shoes (c'mon it was snowing in Ontario). All (to me) worked out very well.
A good time was had by all.

Christmas Day saw me in my khaki UK and the next day (when my family all came to our house for a bit o' celebrating) I wore my new Heritage of Scotland outfit - Black Watch kilt with navy Jacobite shirt and new sporran, chain, belt, and hose. I looked sharp, if I may say so.
