Let's see, at my last recollection the exchange was quite favorable.

I think $53.00 Cdn came to $0.36usd or somewhere thereabouts.

I'll do up some real figures this afternoon.

Thank you Avonlea, I had not checked today's paper for the current exchange rate.

Gordon Kirkbright told me last week that there WILL be a small price increase this year. Probably 3%.

You guys asked for pics of the pleating of the X Marks Tartan so here goes.

    From Left to right

Pleated to the Sett - to the gray stripe - to no stripe - to the yellow - to the white.

And here is a pic of my X Marks tank. (note the opening for the pockets.)

With a Sett of 6 1/8", if you have a reveal of 1" at the hip, pleat depth will be 2 9/16".

Argh! The pictures aren't coming up for me. All I see are these "error" graphics from Photobucket saying that your image isn't in that location anymore.

Thanks for those pictures, Steve. I've been thinking about pleating to the gold stripe, actually, but I might just go for it and pleat to the sett. I have to crunch the numbers and see how many pleats I'm going to get out of my 6 yards. I think it's going to be about 18-19.

Very nice of you to make the samples & post the pics, Steve. That should help quite a few people.

I like to the sett myself.

Many thanks for the photos Steve. Before I handed my kilt length over to Howie at TFCK to make up my kilt, I tried all the pleating variations and originally thought to have it pleated to the white stripe but, after considerable deliberation, I opted for having it done to the sett. The white stripe, I realised, would be too strong, leaving an unnecessarily large contrast between the front and the back of the garment. Having seen your photos, I am sure I made the right decision.

The kilt will be in my hands on 14th January

That was my thinking as well. What are your thoughts of the pleating to the yellow stripe?

BTW...... Hope your feeling a bit better there, Ham!
