NC Kilt Night
I just joined after reading the posts about a possible kilt night...I hope I haven't missed it! Here in Winston-Salem there is a resturaunt "Celtic Cafe"
http://www.thecelticcafe.com/index.html
Every friday and saturday night they feature live "celtic" music. The place has a pubby feel to it. Just a thought!
Always,
Drew

Drew, welcome aboard. I was looking at your profile... you work at Old Salem?... Shoemaker?!?... I used to work at Old Salem in the shoe shop!!! It was a while back though... I can't remember which year... wait... the summer before I went to bootcamp, must have been the summer of 95 that I worked there.
I spent my whole time in the shoe making leather goods. That was one of my all time favorite jobs, and also the least paying. Both my parents are into living history, so that job seemed second nature to me.
Uh, small world.

Hey Drew. Welcome! I get over to W-S fairly often in my work. Usually stay at the la Quinta Inn on 421. There is a nice place right there by the motel. the Village Tavern, not really celtic but good food and service. Saw a guy pay $40 for a shot of single malt there once... http://www.villagetavern.com/ There is also a Hooters just down the street, just in case dave is in the area.
You haven't missed it so just keep an eye on this thread.

Just have to throw out there that "KiltedTurtle" is a close friend of mine. We have been friends since high school (geez, what... about 15 years now?). So of course, I had to drag him to Xmarks.

No not a Maryland Grad. Turtle is a nickname I had in high school and It's kind of stuck with me thru the years. So I figured what would be stranger to see than a kilted turtle.

I'm not living there yet but I just started applying for jobs in the triangle.
Once I'm there, unless I had a hard conflict, I should be good for anywhere in the Triangle and possibly the Triad.
