San Francisco Bay Area Kilt Night: Dec. 30th
We'll be meeting once again at the Devils Canyon Brewery in San Carlos, this Friday. Festivities begin fairly early. You can show up as early at 6:00 PM, or as late as 11:00 and someone will be there.
Here's the Brewery's web site:
http://www.devilscanyonbrewery.com
And here are the driving instructions, lifted from their web site:
Driving directions:
From San Jose
Take 101 North, take the Holly St. exit West. Drive back over the freeway and turn right on Industrial Road. Continue until it "T's" into Harbor. Turn Right. Immediately turn right into the business complex and turn left and park, we are the last door closest to the freeway.
From San Francisco
Take 101 South, take the Ralston/Harbor exit. Do not exit onto Ralston continue on the exit parallel to the freeway and exit onto Harbor. Take an immediate left into the business complex, turn left and park, we are the last door closest to the freeway.
We are the most NE suite of the NE building in the Harbor Business Center.
When "mapping it" make sure to use "Industrial Way" not "Industrial Road". The city versus the county on this one...
*******************************************
Now, this event is at a BREWERY, not a hoity-toity "Brew Pub". We're half-outdoors, here. The place is industrial strength. Dress for spending the evening in large part, outside, in winter, under a space heater. This might be a good night for your Aran sweater, 16 ounce wool kilt, and favorite warm body to hug, eh?
The folks are used to us, so it's a comfortable place to hang out. Come on down and meet a mess 'o your kilted bro's.

Dang. Yet again, a kilt night that I'm gonna miss. We've got a gathering at our place this Friday. Possibly next month though. :-D I'm pretty sure my bother Tim will be there for sure. Say hi to everyone for me.

If you are hosting, we'll be there!
The nice thing about the Belmont event is that the place is only open to the public one night each month. They have great beers (cheap, including an awesome Scotish Ale), fantastic food, good live music, NO COVER CHARGE and the people there are really laid back and cool (although the occasional yuppie may wander in without warning... it is the Peninsula and Stanford is nearby). It is centrally located between SF and SV. Free parking, no lines, lots of seating, outdoor heaters... what more do you want?
We do need to get more chicks in miniskirts though... that would be a bonus.
Put it on your calendar for January 27th, 2006 and come check it out!
