Yes indeed, that is the Sutherland Old Tartan. I have a kilt in my Clan Sutherland as well, but it was $500.00 and change.8) VERY nice score, enjoy!

Thanks Mike, I have it at the dry cleaners right now, I hope it survives, it's not been looked after well, it may need some repairs, but still worth having.
Mrbill, no the straps are leather, just the photo.

Love the tartan Graham. We got some Sutherland ancient as a bonus from HR with our last two kilt orders. I used it for a background for this picture

Then are the straps covered with fabric, as they are obviously tartan like the kilt?

The buckles look like they are held down with tartan pieces of material (aren't they supposed to be?), but the actually straps just look light brown from the back to me. I have seen alot of leather staps where the back is another colour, prehaps these are just faded abit.
