I've done a lot of searching and came up empty. There is at least one kilt company that claims to use 16 oz. poly, but won't give any details when asked. It's interesting to note that their 16 oz. poly kilt has a cotton liner. Maybe thats where the extra ounces come from.

Okay, but someone out there has purchased a kilt made from the 16 oz PV (or, for the sake of argument, ALLEDGED to be made of the 16 oz PV) at some time or another and should be able to attest to its existence.

If so, I'd love to SEE a 16 oz PV kilt.

Here's one that's supposed to be 16 oz poly v. Maybe these guys can give you a lead on where they get the fabric. http://cgi.ebay.com/Free-P-P-Mens-Ki...QQcmdZViewItem

Clansman Knitwear has a casual kilt that they claim is 16 oz. polyviscose. However, I have asked for details and couldn't get any.
