Nah, I bought her a fabulous kilt skirt in a "no-clan" tartan...lots of white, cream, green and tan....exactly her colors. It's gorgeous and it fits her perfectly. She looks fabulous in it. She's worn it once, to my stepmothers retirement community for lunch. Basically, she hates it...says it's "dowdy".
I figure it cost me all of ten bucks off of ebay. It's a drop dead gorgeous skirt, I'd have fits if I could have a kilt of comparable quality. I can stand up for my rights to wear what I want, but the corollary is that I can't really say much of anything about what she wears, right? So I got it for her, it's in her closet and maybe she'll get it out again someday to wear....but I won't hold my breath.

Ok, bid, I just started a business. I start to deal second hand kilt skirts in Finland
can easily get 40 or 45 euros for it here.

Thanks Alan for the tip. I left the skirt at my girlfriends place yesterday. She will try it on today when she comes home and then maybe a couple of pictures tomorrow when she comes here. She will look great in it! (If it fits I mean...)

COOL! Which one did you get? Oh, must have been the Holyrood in wool and cashmere, 'cause the Gray Stewart was still for sale as of last night.
