I've noticed the same thing GMan. I'm much more confident, and not as introverted as I used to be. Also, as has been mentioned in other threads, we have a tendency to pay more attention to our personal appearance, not just choosing nice color combinations that complement each other, but also personal grooming. I've also noticed that I am much happier.
It's amazing that something as simple as an article of clothing can bring about personal improvement. But, I truely believe that the kilt has done this for me - indeed, for many of us.

Well, Darrell posted everything that I would have, had I been here 10 minutes earlier. I don't normally dress to seek attention, but when kilted, I dress with the awareness that I will draw more attention than a non-kilted person would. Whether I want it or not (not, believe me) the attention is coming. So I can go forward knowing that, and be prepared for it.

I should have also noted that, this change has come about since I started wearing a kilt, but the confidence and the new attitude are still there, even if I'm wearing trousers.

Interesting thought but I don't think a kilt changes ones personality. Wearing a kilt tends to make us more aware of our immediate envronment because we are setting ourself apart from the rest. The kilt simply forces us to display some of those traits we have been conditioned to suppressed in our lives.

I agree. That's why I said in my above post, "I think the kilt brings out your self confidence, just like anything you do that challenges your courage."
While I don't think that the kilt changes who you are, it can give you a new attitude.

Indeed, while my opinion is that the kilt doesn't change you. the ancillary activity does.

For some reason wearing a kilt makes me feel more manly. Don't know what it is, but I feel more confident and comfortable in a kilt. And that attitude is noticeable in my bearing and demeanor.

Forced to Change
Wearing the kilt is slowly forcing me to become a lot more open with people. In pants, I was so shy. In the kilt, I have complete strangers starting conversations. Its bringing me out of my shell a bit.

Darrell, not to be too forward here but I have indeed noticed this in your posts. Good on man!
