SF Bay Area Kilt Night, Last Friday of the Month!

Calling ALL GUYS IN KILTS (traditional tartan kilts, Utilikilts, any darned kilt!)

That's right, mark your calendars for the LAST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH... time for the monthly kilt mixer in Belmont! Friday, January 27th, 2006 from 5 pm on. Rain-or-Shine. Most of our people start trickling in around 6 pm, although no doubt that Tim will be there at 5... first in line for a cold brew and checking out the opening band.

Lots of cool singles and couples. No stress meet-and-greet with cool, fun loving, people in a casual, relaxing, atmosphere. NO COVER CHARGE. Live music, great food at decent prices, indoor and outdoor seating with cozy propane heat lamps and couches outside! Come to have fun! Bring a friend (or two)! No-host bar. Yummy $2 award-winning microbrews and small batch whiskies.

Put on your kilt and come join the fun! The proprietors will be expecting us! This is our 5th event and the 1st for 2006!

Devil's Canyon Brewing Company, 111 Industrial Way #7, Belmont CA 94002 It is located in the north/east corner of the Harbor Business Center, right off of Harbor Blvd exit from S/B Hwy. 101, driveway just east of Industrial. More info. at www.devilscanyonbrewery.com It can be a bit difficult to find the first time. Just copy down these directions and you'll find it!

They are only open to the public just one night per month. The doors open at 5 pm and things wrap up around 11 pm. We have no affiliation with the brewing company, it is just a convenient location on the Peninsula and a great place to hold a casual mixer. We hope to see you there!

    Driving directions:
    From San Jose
Take 101 North, take the Holly St. exit West. Drive back over the freeway and turn right on Industrial Road. Continue until it "T's" into Harbor. Turn Right. Immediately turn right into the business complex and turn left and park, they are the last door closest to the freeway.

    From San Francisco
Take 101 South, take the Ralston/Harbor exit. Do not exit onto Ralston continue on the exit parallel to the freeway and exit onto Harbor. Take an immediate left into the business complex, turn left and industrial park, they are the last door closest to the freeway.

Please note: Devil's Canyon is in the most N/E suite of the most N/E building in the "Harbor Businness Center," very near to the S/B Harbor exit off 101. Parking can be difficult if you arrive after 7, but you can block the roll-up doors at the many commerical businesses in the area if their lights are out. No one seems to mind. If you have a hard time finding the place, park in the business park where you see lots of cars, walk towards the freeway and listen for the live music and rabble in the N/E corner of the Harbor Business Center.

I'll be there, of course, with the new Holyrood on (assuming it arrives by then). If I'm feeling brave, maybe I'll wear the handsewn "practice kilt".

Alan, fter our conversation about 6 weeks ago... under the warming glow of LP gas and with a cold pint of Scotch Ale in our paws , I am really looking forward to seeing BOTH of those kilts! Hey, be sure to bring your home-modified kilt jacket too!

Anyone else coming??? Steve, Tim, Paul, anyone??? Just 2 weeks away!!

I was planning on showing (after quite the hiatus) but my better half informed me that she already had plans and I need to watch the kid. Oh, well... next month for sure. I'll use it as my warm up for St. Patty's Day.

LOL! Yeah right Mark, you've seen Tim and I in action... you don't honestly believe my son wants to be seen with his daddy and his uncle Tim when we're toss'n back with the likes of you guys!

But seriously, he's not quite 3yo and I don't think that my wife wants me bringing him to the Bay for a night of drinking with my brother, and accidently ruin his little pyschie. Can you imagine the cost of therapy down the road? And you think College is expensive?

Nope, I'll have to wait until next month to let my hair down. See you guys then.

Alan, did that Holyrood kilt come in???? I know it is a castle, but it reminds me of that scene in the movie, "1941" ...man that was funny!
