    Thanks Binx and James!

    See, I ain't the only one ;)

What I'm troubled with now are visions...do they still hold the old fun Doo Dah Parades anywhere???

Visions of kilted bagpipers ALL with the back of their kilts so caught up "smiling" back at the crowd as buxom ladies ran amoungst them slathering sunscreen on their cheeks....

Well, you were wearing it proud!

My brother (30+ years ago) worked for a department store in CA and did special fashion shows as a model.
The woman who was supervising the show changed a model who was black because he was going to walk the runway with a white woman. (It was a wedding wear show)
My brother was teed-off, so after he was checked out (before walking the runway) he unzipped his fly and pulled out his tux shirt about 2 inches out of his fly, and walked the runway. When he turned to return, the woman finally saw and her jaw just about hit the floor. Yes she was very mad at him.

This couldn't happen to a pipe band. I can't imagine how it's possible to get the bottom of a kilt caught in the belt without doing it deliberately, and then the bulk would be too noticable to miss. Even if I grab the bootm of the back of any of my kilts and pull it straight up there's enough material in the pleats that everything stays covered. A Utilikilt is a different animal.

Re: Doo dah parades... We have one in Columbus. I don't remember when but I know there is one.

And Ron - I think you just found another possible reason to wear that underkilt thing.

Women can get their skirts caught in their pantyhose (tights), if the skirt is light enough. I always check myself before leaving the loo: skirt down, no t.p. on the shoes, etc.

I am also sensitive to temperature & texture changes, so I'm surprised you didn't feel the difference when you were sitting in the car. There has to be a difference in how it feels to sit just in your shorts, & how it feels to have the thinkness of your kilt under your bum as well.

You must have had a lot on your mind...:-)

OK, I just about snorted my root beer after reading Jame's post. The ''I buried her yesterday" did me in.

One of these days I finally learn to not be drinking anything when reading these posts! Earlier in the week I was cleaning diet coke off my screen. Today it's hot tea.
