I know Sherry, thought about it, but then would have to explain what it is...love telling teenagers in group that's why drunks smell like vinegar...

If it's from my flask I drink it neat. But if I'm relaxing I often have my scotch with an ice cube. More often than not I'm uncomfortably warm unless it's the dead of winter and I like the cooling effect of the ice cube.

My body thermostat has always been just a bit out of wack.

And here I was this evening, happily quaffing a few Guinnesses (Guinni??). Now, I'll have to head to town and pick up a nice bottle of Jamesons and probably an Old Grouse as well. Not at the 'mo, of course, I can wait until morning. :-(

When I used to go out drinkin', I would drink rum and cokes...

As time went on and I grew up a bit more and drank a bit less I fell in love with Bourbon's! What I wonderful nectar!

Once again some time has passed and tastes refined.. I now find my self falling madly in love with Single Malts! I prefer mine neat or on a couple of cubes of ice..

It depends on what I had to eat earlier, usually with just a little bit of water.

I like mine with a bit of water to open the more subtle flavors. Of course ones palate is different so some need more water than others while some can handle the whisky neat. The only problem i have with drinking it neat is that after a bit my toungue is desensatized by the alcohol and it diminish's the flavors i can taste. At that point one can't really taste only their nose is doing the tasting for them.
