Ron, I may be off the mark here, but most Scottish schools have a school 'uniform' that students are required to wear to class. When you have to wear a logo, five days a week, it takes a bit of the thrill out of wearing it on the weekends too.
I wear a uniform shirt with the embroidered logo of the company I work for and the very first thing to hit the laundry basket is that shirt, every single night. I have zero desire to wear a sweatshirt with that logo on it, when on my own time.
How many veterans do you see wearing G.I. clothing, once they have been discharged?
