    Finally the real thing!

Ok! Dropped off by post yesterday. This kilt has seen at least Scotland, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Denmark and finally Finland. Took 5 weeks to deliver successfully. But now straight (haha!) from ScottishKilts.net (My best wishes to them, very good customer service and it seems the delivery problems were not their fault in any phase) my new 16oz 8yrd MacLean Hunting Ancient! (And the delivery problems were a blessing since I got the Douglas Modern trad for ½ price!). And my girl loves both of them

Thanks to Ronja for great poses

Finnish made Valmet Petra 30-06 with a silencer. And the dog is not mine. It's my friends dog (I had to buy her a bone to get him to pose).

I think side-by-side shotgun would have fitted the style better but I prefer domestic The gun is also my friends gun. He has shot 32 mooses with it. (only one with a silencer) I prefer small prey myself. Birds mainly.

Very nice, Ackwell. I'm glad you finally got it!

On quilts & christening gowns, sometimes ppl will embroider the names of those who worked on the quilt or, in the case of the gowns, the names of the babies who wore them. Maybe you could add a history of the kilt's travels inside the apron. :-D

Are you trying to tell us something with that suppressor on your rifle?

Yes, it is nicer to shot a gun without ear protection when it is silenced

That is a stunning tartan! I don't recall ever seeing a kilt in that tartan before. Great shots of you, too.

Sigh...one more to add to my wish list. I've got to stop hanging around this forum, it's really wreaking havoc on my bank account!

Looks Great Ackwell. I am glad to hear that the kilt finally got to you. Getting the second one for 1/2 price hopefully makes up for the wait and confussion on the part of the delivery company.

I love the pics with the rifle (and silencer) and dog. It looks like you are set for a day out in the woods.

Great pics! The kilt looks wonderful. If you were to remove that silencer, I think the rifle would fit in a Freelander.
