Hey Ack, those are great photos, and the tartan looks also great. By the way, I also agree that maybe a side-by-side gun would help also to achieve a more "hunting" aspect,... at first sight, the first image that I had was a kilted "The Jackal", ready to work!
Over here, I did some hunting also when I was a kid, but just hunted rabbits and partridges. I stopped when I started to get out on saturdays, as is not possible at all to arrive home, change clothes and get out again to hunt while ur eyes are closing!
again,..congrats! now u know which must be ur objective... the artic or the finnish tartans, or,... a sami? lol
ĦSalud!

Ancient Hunting MacLean
I just ordered some tartan in the ancient hunting MacLean. My wife's a MacLean and I wanted a kilt to honor her. It is a wonderful tartan, and it looks great. By the way, my son's kilt is also in the ancient hunting MacLean.

Nice kilt, nice gun.
Your right, it's nice to shoot without having to wear ear protection.
But due to the overly fearfull here getting one requires paying for an exhaustive gov. background check, paying a $200.00 tax and then still paying through the nose for the suppresor itself.
So I think I'll just have to get a set of those electronic ear plugs that protect your hearing when shots are fired & give amplified hearing when not shooting. 8-)

Both kilts look great on you. What a deal, second kilt at such a price! (The beret on the other thread suits you well too.) I have to ask though, are silencers common on hunting rifles where you live? It makes sense when you think about it, but over here people have too many ideas that silencers are only used by assassins, so seeing you with a silenced rifle definately gives an ominous look. On second thought, maybe that's not so bad. It would certainly stop those unwanted kilt checks!!

Glad that you now have the kilt. It is a nice tartan, and you wear it well. Please give Ronja a scratch behind the ear for me for being well behaved during the photo shoot. I once took photos of my brother in laws hunting dogs with guns and hunting accessories, like to never got the shoot how I wanted. But, he has proudly displayed the photos in his office since; so I must have gotten them close enough.
