Is there "too cold"?

Cotton. They are still very thick and come well over my knee when unrolled so I have a nice beefy cuff. The wool hose not having an ankle worried me about the fit.

The Wool socks are a bit thin but I wear them over pollypro sock liners and the wool socks come half way up the top of the leg and I am 6'. In fact Ron at Hamilton told me they would be to warm and try the cotten. If I am Not going to be long outside I will wear cotten but if I am out for a while Wool, Cotten Kills.

All you guys talking about sub-zero temperaturs are making me mighty glad I livde in California!

It was about 30 degrees last night when I went home from work, there was frost/big ice crystals on teh the car window. That was a chhilly walk to the care...about 20 minutes, but I survived.

It is attributed to Mark Twain - and so right! Really from the swing in temperature than the low itself!

I grew up in Sac. and spent a lot of time in the Bay Area!

My personal record is -32C, wearing an 8yd 16oz kilt. Yes, it was 'fresh' but warmer than any trousers that (used to) hang in my closet.
