In Finland we don't have that kinda problems with sgian dubhs. Our law prohibits carrying of a bladed weapon with blade length over 6cm at public places EXCEPT when it could be defined as a "tool". Funny because our traditional knife, "puukko" has always been "every man's personal tool.". So puukko, leatherman, swiss army knife and all are ok. And every bladed weapon is ok if it is part of a traditional costume. So... it only raises the sentence if you attack somebody with it and then it is no longer a "tool" and it becomes a weaponWell, we are the knife wearing nation
And the law also say that importing one DANGEROUS bladed weapon into Finland is ok as long as it is for your personal use.So, now I need to decide... Broadsword or a claymore from Scotland next summer!? ;)
