    Another civic duty

I did a civic duty today, one that is not looked forward to. I filed my income tax. Whew! Glad to be done with it, getting most of the money back from good old uncle sam. I filed online the same as I did last year, it is so easy they lead you step by step. :-o

I'm still waiting for all my tax documents to arrive in the mail. I actually can't wait to get it done just because it feels so good when it's over with and my worries are done. I've been pretty good these past few years of getting the amount I've already paid to Uncle Sam correct and not owing anything extra. I just hope that continues this year.

I always figure if my withholding falls within $200 of my liability, I've estimated pretty well. I try to cut my withholding as close as possible, because why should I give the government a tax free loan!

One year I got a refund of $54 from the feds and had to pay the state $48. I figure that was a pretty good year.

Was able to do that several years ago but haven't come that close in a while. I hate giving them an intrest free loan too.
