Dave, no question, I was only pointing out the possibilities of Jeff's design. However, I do think that the kilt, and combined with drawing a weapon from between the aprons, would be a great deterrent to any would be attackers!
Here is how it plays out:
Crook: Hey! You in the skirt, stop! Give me your wallet.
Me: Its not a skirt, its a kilt, do you really want to do this?
Crook: Shut up, give me your wallet!
Me: Are you sure you want my wallet? You might be sorry...
Crook: Give it to me!
Me: Ok. (reaches between aprons, pulls out a pistol and convinces the crook that he really did not want to do what he did!).
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long

Bad enough that they're cracking down on knifes and swords and have banned pistols years ago but on the news last night - they're going to ban glasses and bottles in Glasgow pubs !
I don't know where this will end but it won't be long before you can't carry a sharp pencil !

I thought the "Act of Proscription" was repealed in 1782.
One of the reasons that the colonies had a revolution.
