There is a great website for creating business cards yourself. You can create a business card, post card, etc. and upload it to the site for them to print or if you do not have the software they actually have several packages on the site that you have free access to in order to create the card online. It is only $9.95 (no set up charges, mulit-color charges etc.) for 100 single sided cards and they are excellent quality, sturdy paper (not like the stuff you get from Staples), gloss finish on front of card and matte finish on back for writing notes and they deliver within 2-3 days. It is a really nice product. I priced out the same card at Kinko's and they quoted $85. I use this site for my pipe band business cards and just about all our members use it for their personal piping cards.

I think this is a great idea. Thanks for the link to:

That is quite a bargain for some high quality cards. I'm going to give it some serious thought.

A question - is it possible for someone to design and save a template on that site with some good resources listed so others can adapt it and order their own set of cards?

I already have a Word template made up that lines up with Avery business card blanks (the "Clean Edge" really are pretty nice ;)). Hank had made some noises about putting a card file on the XMarks Propaganda page, and I sent him a copy of mine, but nothing ever happened.

Simple, easy to read, and to the point.
The cool thing about having the Word file is that you can go in and change it to your liking.

WOW! Great minds apparently think alike. I just printed some cards almost identicle to the one bmrtin did. The only differance is I left off the picture gallery part. No need to post a pic, mines the same.

Phil,
They do not store templates for other to access. I created the bands card using MS Publisher and then emailed the template to the band members who simply changed the wording to fit their personal needs and they place their orders as needed by uploading their own template. I am sure if we want to create an X Marks design the template can be emailed those who are interested or maybe the template can be stored on this site for members to access and each individual can place orders as they see fit.

You can also get 100 cards from VistaPrint.com using one of the premade designs for only the cost of shipping and handling.
