Kilt alterations?

I'm sure, you have seen my thread under general kilt talk about the black wool kilt that I ordered from kiltstore. I realize that thru a misunderstanding on my part, I ordered the wrong length See pics under the above thread. What I want to know is can(at my own expense) the kilt be altered to make it about 2 inches longer, possibly by piecing in more material at the top? Like I said, it's my mistake, and rather than have a kilt I can't wear or have to sell at a loss, I'd rather pay extra to fix it.

I think piecing in is probably waaayyy more work than you're likely to want to pay for; after all, it would have to be completely dissassembled in order to add in at the top.

There's lots of sizes in this group; I'd try to sell it at cost first, and then order the right size.

...and even if you have to sell at a loss, you'd have probably lost more by having it altered.
