I'm sorry to keep coming up with photos, Cameron!;) Yes, as you can see below, I have a leather Utilikilt. It was actually the first one to be sold (and is signed, numbered and dated by Steven Villegas himself!) That was three years ago (Jan '03). Not so very long after that they changed the design slightly and introduced the lace-up sides. A friend of mine has one of the newer ones and loves it to bits, but I have to say that I much prefer the clean lines of my 'unfussy' kilt over his. I believe Utilikilts have also introduced trouser-style pockets now, but mine has just one back hip pocket.
This kilt is weighty, but it's one of those that you really do not want to take off at the end of the day, it is so comfortable!
