When I was a little kid I used to watch a lot of TV on Saturday mornings. Some reason that seemed to be okay with my mom. Any way I used to see a lot of war movies and I remember something about the kilted ladies from hell. I thought that was the coolest thing I ever heard, next to bagpipes which I also loved. Don't know why.Left a lasting impression on me and here I am. 8-)
Any roads very nice compliment. I hope your back heals quickly!

I've been told several times by women that the kilt works for me because I have the legs for it, and I've had men say that they'd consider wearing a kilt but they didn't have the knees for it like I do.
I'm still trying to figure that out because I think that I have knobby knees, and if it weren't for the physical therapy I'd have one leg bigger than the other because my bad leg normally gets less use. Okay, I'll admit it, my bad leg when measured around the calf is about an inch smaller than my good leg, but no one seems to notice it.
Funny, how a kilt can make people think such good things about my ugly pair of legs.

Did you ask her out?
Alan, if I did, my wife would be giving me some physical therapy of her own - oh the pain!

Graham, I'm really glad that you got that compliment too. Sort of feels like having someone pin a medal on your chest.

As Mark Twain said "Clothes make the man." How you're dressed makes a huge difference in how you feel about yourself. That's why I sometimes think its a shame when people dress casually for things they used to dress up for, like going out for dinner or a show. Look at how a uniform can change a person's behavior. When I'm in my kilt I'm already better dressed than most of the people around me.

It is my never to be humble opinion that all MEN are born to wear the Kilt, it's those 'poor timid souls that live in that grey twilight' that I worry about.

If there's one thing I'd like to see, it would be men and women dressing formally for things like concerts, dances, etc. Around here dressing for an occassion seems to be a lost art. How sad.:-|
