I've been considering getting my next Kilt in Macloed Highland Regimental but it seems that it's a very difficult tartan to get, let alone in a regimental weight, does anyone know of a Kiltmaker that can get it?

I can get the tartan, but not in a regimental weight. I can have it woven in a heavy worsted though, 16 oz per yard. The STA notes for the tartan give a date of 1800 and list Wilsons of Bannockburn as the source. I could have it woven up in Wilsons' original color scheme -- and if you wanted to be really authentic, make it into a traditional box pleated early nineteenth century kilt -- all for only $480!
OK, commercial over now. Seriously, though, I'd be glad to help. Email me if you are interested.
