I wish that I had any of my grandparents left to appreciate my kilt-wearing. I'm sure that my grandfather and grandmother on my mother's side would have loved me in a kilt.
Andrew.

Hear hear!
My paternal grandfather (the Irish one) passed away when my father was a teenager, long before I came along. My other grandparents have all be gone for over 10 years.
You're a lucky man, Iolaus. Spend as much time with your grandma as you can.

I wish I'd gotten into kilts a few years earlier. Her husband, my mother's step-father was the one bit of Scot heritage that I can claim; he was a McKillop. He was the only grandfather I ever knew. I'm sure he would've been thrilled to see me embracing a part of his heritage (his sgian dubh still sits on her entryway table). Sadly, he died about five years ago.
