Thanks everyone for the welcome.
Matt...a trip to the museum has been planned for months now...just looking for a free day! I've been enjoying the Montreat Pipes and Drums for 20 years now. My 15 year old son is now on the practice chanter and hopes to be able to join the band some day. I'm not musical enough, and don't need another expensive hobby. ;)
Jim... I heard him speak several times last year. Very dynamic, beautiful accent. The rumor was that he had several marriage proposals before he left.
Ah, those pent-up Presbyterians.

When you get the sgian dubh back make sure to post pics of your handiwork! There are a lot of us on here that like to make our own accessories and we're always looking for encouragement and ideas.
