Anyone know a good place to get the weights they use at the highland games? Its pretty easy to get stone for the putting events, but the weight for height and for distance is a little harder to accurately simulate.

Anyone have any cheap, good ideas for practice cabers too?

Awesome, thanks for the links guys. I found Old Celt on my own last night, and they seem about the best price wise. Darn, I hate paying for things by the pound that have no other purpose than just to be heavy!

LOL, wait till you see the shipping cost! I am lucky that I see him almost every Sunday and can just drive over to his house if I need something. That saves me a fortune. The kettle bells on the other hand, a pair of 24kg bells cost almost as much to ship as the bell itself!

Malcolm makes it to most of the east coast games, he competes. If you can make any of the games just call him and put in an order and tell him to bring it to the game. It'll save you the shipping and you'll get to meet some of us old farts ;-)
