Enya's latest
I've only recently listened to her latest offering 'Amarantine', I think it's her best, especially the last track which I thought was gaelic, but in fact is the lanquage she has invented - "Loxian".
The whole thing is mythical nonsense....but I can't stop playing it over and over!!
Enya, Laphroaig and kilted, it doesn't get any better! ;)

I totally agree... I posted on this last week and since then have listened to the CD many times without tiring of it. Her music is amazing in that, although she often sings in soft delicate instrument like tones, the music is best played loud. This brings out the celestial, atmospheric qualities of the music. I often find passages of this CD playing in my head - like the proverbial tune that won't go away. I hope there is less of a wait before she releases her next CD.

Yeah, is right, I like Enya's music but...
but I have to say that just a CD in my collection is enough. Most of her songs remind me of others from previous disks. "Memory of trees" was for me a mix from "watermark" and "shepherd moons".
To repeat the same succesful formula once and again ends up tiring the public.
It's only my opinion. Now, you can open fire on me.

Blindfold this cad and stand him against the wall!!
Hey, you're entitled to your opinion and I agree in part. I don't like duplication, a lot of artists do it.
However, I maintain that this album stands out from the rest.

I'll be picking it up for my wife, for valentines day!
As to the point of formula music, many artists get criticized for trying to give their fans something new.
So to please their fans, they do the same style all the time.
I'm not saying Enya does this, it's just the way the business is.
It's the way the public buys as well.
I love hearing Enya's voice, and the melodies are haunting (in a manner) and It's great to listen to.
Again everybody has their opinion, but you can not only over analyze music, but over simplify it, neither are good for music, just enjoy it!
