    Welcome Bill,

    From the canyonlands of Arizona.

You're gonna love hiking kilted IF you remember to use Bodyglide and/or an underkilt or very long tailed shirt. ;)

    Welcome Tartan Hiker

Good to have you on board.

There are some mountains out this way, too. I've been hiking and backpacking kilted for a while now, in both wool tartan and cotton/poly kilts, and they accomplish the goal of proper cooling and ventilation. However, there is nothing to wick the sweat from the skin and let it evaporate elsewhere during *vigorous* exertion, so you'll likely experience "dripping" down your legs; carry a bandana for the occassional drying off. Small price to pay for the other huge benefit of comfort.

Sign up in FRAPPR (see Big Paul's posts) and post some pictures there.

    Again, welcome.
