Reason #347 for wearing a kilt:
easier diaper changes!!!
He is a total cutie, Ian. and looks like he was born to wear a kilt ;-)
ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!

Great pic! Be sure to post pics of his brother wearing the same kilt!
And as someone pointed out, it makes bathroom duties much easier at all ages!

I love to see young laddies kilted, our pipe major's son has one. He performs with the band with his toy drum and always steals the show.
How I wish I'd worn kilts from that age!! What better start in life?

Perhaps I can talk my parent's into it (again ;) ).
The wee kilt from those pics, can go to my 2nd son in a year (he's only 4 months old now).

I got my son's kilt at www.tartantown.com I think we only paid about $40 cdn for the kilt and $3 for the dancer's socks.
The kilt is PV and machine washable (great for kids). We got him a size 6 when he was 2 (hey, his daddy is 6'4 and very broad) and luckily it fit just perfect for my sister's wedding this past summer. I will either try and make him a new one or see what I can find at the Highland Games this summer (they are always full of kid's kilts). Truth be told, the only reason I ordered Blackwatch as my first kilt was to match the one I had gotten him a few months earlier (yes my son beat me to kilt wearing). We made him a fake fur sporran and some flashes.

Thanks for the lead. I'll have to check them out. That is a great shot, btw, of your son. Very artistic looking. I had stumbled upon it a while back, and it impressed me. Colin, are you into photography?
