I think you should go with the Black Watch it carries an enormous amount of respect for those lost. That's just how I feel when I see it worn.

Shadow heavyweight and a black tie: and touch up the pleats if they need it. Good sharp pleats on your kilt shows respect in the same way a sharp crease on your pants did (when you wore them).
