Tartan day Activities

Maybe we could have our own little Kilt Night here in Boston. My wife and I are always up for a few beers in or around Boston (well she has one and I usually have a good few). Often we have to bring our daughter, but that usually only means the revelry starts and ends a bit earlier. My daughter likes pubs, and I'm English so I don't share that 'pubs are dens of iniquity and unsuited to young folk' prejudice that many Americans have.

Our usual haunts are in and around Wakefield, but we can easily go further afield. One of my favourite pubs is The Independent in Somerville, but we also like The Thirsty Scholar in Cambridge and any of the old pubs near the Old State House in downtown Boston. Give us a call or post here if you ever fancy a few kilted beers (well we'll be kilted, the beers won't) with me and the wife. Bring friends too if you want and we can make a party of it.

I'm in Boston too, and if I'm not working that night would be willing to meet up with a few new faces for a drink or three. I just ordered my first kilt today, and expect to be breaking it in as soon as it arrives, but a tartan day activity would be a great experience for a new kilt. As far as pubs go I am often found lurking around JP or Cambridge, but really I'll drink anywhere.
