BTW, Vanderbilt U. has figured out how to make white light with LEDs, but someone's got to figure out how to do it commercially.

Nope, LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. A bulb uses a glowing wire to provide illumination.

But they want to be able to make them as replacements for all sorts of bulbs (or bubls ). That's the whole point--we'd all save tons of energy & therefore beaucoup $$$$.

It could start whole new bulb discussions about the quality of the light, and how bulbs just don't have to be changed as often, etc.

This means, of course, that we'll never run out of things to post!

I hate to replace a light bulb....wife nagging for days....find the right replacement bulb...dozens of new light bulbs, but the type you need is always...not there...wife comes back from shopping...wrong bulb...I go....2 bottles of malt and a couple of lightbulbs...spares...they wont trick me again...I replace it...wife makes jokes about me being her hero...problem solved..."poof!"
