Inside was a Sportkilt in my rugby team's colors of blue and gold (and explains why she asked what my team colors are)....of course I immediately put it on...it's very light and perfect to wear in the summer or just around the house..it will never be mistaken for a real kilt but it's fun and I may purchase one on my own in a few months ...I'll just have to sew some weights into it so it doesn't fly away in the breeze....
I wore SportKilts in public for several months (the sewn down pleat versions with belt loops). Everyone who commented on them called them kilts, and all the comments were very positive. They are not tanks, but in my opinion, they are indeed causal kilts. In fact, the way the front aprons are constructed, you have 4 layers of material and is actually heavier in front than my Stillwater standards, but the back is considerably lighter. They are nice for casual wear. I've sold all mine, save one in favor of Stillwaters, Amerikilts, and Utilikilts.
