Jacket alterations

I saw a nice tweed jacket I was going to try altering, but it had those leather patched elbows so I gave it a pass.

You were fortunate, I looked and looked in so many Goodwill stores and related type stores and could not find any tweeds in my size and I finally had to order a ready made jacket and vest. I had intended to, if I could, get one in long or extra long in my size (I wear a 46R) so that hopefully the pockets would be low enough to cut above and of course the extra length could be used for other options on the jacket.
