For a number of reasons I wear briefs all the time under my kilts, usually black or dark colours. I tried wearing boxers...once. I don't know who thought up that design, but boxers to me are like some kind of horrible torture device. May as well wear pants! ~shudder~

Hmmm, I say don't give the trouser tyrants any ammunition. On a totally unrelated note, my wearing the kilt to a friends wedding has led to a wave of positive support from mutual friends of the couple and our peers at school. There is some joking about wearing "a skirt" but it is all in good fun. I soon plan to wear kilts on a regular occasion.

What's between a man and his kilt is between a man and his kilt. So it shouldn't matter either way. Besides, God sees all regardless of the number of layers.

You must be careful of what type of church you're going into with a Kilt in the first place. There are churches that won't allow a Kilt regimental or no and that God cannot get into either. :-(

RUBBISH, I've never heard of any church barring a man in a kilt. Most I have been to welcome the sight of a kilted man.
In the UK, even princes and kings have attended church.

Of course, I refer to a proper kilt, well worn and in a respectable manner, not some tosser in a womans' skirt trying to make some kind of wacky statement in the house of God.

Please check your facts before making wild statements.

..doing my best to ignor the claptrap about p'athetically homophobic societies'.....
I'm not generally in favour of going regimental from a hygiene point of view (as regulars here will know), but I am in favour of as much freedom as possible - or at least minimising any compromise of the freedom the kilt offers.

So, I personally find any underpants that are 'huggy' or tight as uncomfortable , altho I do acknowledge what Hamish says, boxers do look untidy when they are seen.
I've not tried microfiber shorts, but again, they seem tight and constrictive.

I don't have any answers, to find the perfect underpants...that is the quest gentlemen.
