I appreciate the knowledge and history that some of these fine people posses. It's always nice to have a friendly debate or heated topic and have a voice of reason with some history behind it to help the situation. We do all have a lot to share but sometimes need an arbitrator to answer a debate or question to keep things moving or on track.
We have much to learn from one another, some people here just add more to it to make it a learning experience.
That's pretty cool from a little kilt site that grew and grew.

For me its just olde age....

Started boxing at the YMCA at age 8 and continued on through college...added some fencing time too. Loved 1:1 confrontation...graduated to street police work as an over enthusiastic young officer wrestling with unruly drunks... then on to bar fights and finally to "therapeutic" take downs on psychiatric wards until age 57...then hung it up.

Main reason I'm nice and polite (sometimes) at age 61 is that I'm too olde to fight anymore and have to "make nice."

So, for me think its more antiquity than it is the kilt...

and what is wrong with your photo site?

Thanks! Have always looked young...was NOT an asset as a 21 year old police officer who looked 15...back before bullet proof vests...used to wear a couple sweatshirts under my uniform shirt to bulk up...still had a baby face...its finally paying off.

The server at the IMFF website where my gallery is crashed. Nigel has been working to get it restored. Guessing a couple more weeks.

I'm trying to figure out the Kodak/Ofoto site that came with my digital camera...working to have files of each kilt so folks can see a certain kilt in a variety of places and looks. That's still a project too. Wish I knew what I was doing.

Tried posting some pics today in the photo section, it worked well for me, thought I had it, but got a lot of replies that the photos weren't showing for them...yet they show for me...go figure.

Believe it or not...I've been a die hard online gamer...for years...."retired" now.

I played Shogun Total War and Call of Duty...and some other games also....been a member and a leader of some "clans"...websites, forums, teamspeak...even visited international clan meetings.

I've witnessed weird and even disgusting behaviour on the internet...think of the worst...and multiply it by 10 and you'll come sort of close....

This "community" is like heaven to me...adult people who behave like adults....we have fun, we try to help eachother and even beyond that.

Of course...the binding factor is the kilt, but I dare to say...people who wear kilts are special and the active members of this forum are...yep....special.

Maybe it's not the kilt...maybe it's sheer luck....whatever...this forum is great!

You left out something though. The teens we have on this board are as mature and well behaved as any adult here. They show respect and are treated with respect. I think we should be proud to have them as members also.

Ron, if you are looking for another photo gallery, try photobucket. It has some drawbacks, but I've not had any real problems since I started using it, and posting image files here at the forum is a breeze. They add the image tags for you.
