My wife ...tolerates it. She's from the Catholic Guilt school of behavior modification. So her comments, while never negative, are often along the lines of, "Oh. So you're going to wear your kilt? Outside? No, no. That's fine. Do whatever you want......"
She's the only person I know who can manage to verbalize a verbal pause.
I'd have to say my wife's initial reaction edged over to the negative side, slightly, though she never gave me grief over it. She warmed to it after exposure to other people's opinions though.
She was a little suprised that I wore them as much as I did (before I gained the weight that limited me to two kilts), but she likes the fact that all her female coworkers, young and old, talk about me in glowing terms, saying how lucky she is and all... I don't think I'd have made as strong an impression if I always wore pants whenever I visit the school.
