Excellent observation Jerry, I think that attitude found on this board is respect. Respect for the kilt, respect for the tartan, respect for the heritage. The kilt is a kilt whether it is 8 yards or 4, Wool or PV, tartan or solid, traditional or modern, or made in Scotland or elsewhere. The tartan can be old or recent, and solid material is just a tartan of like colours. The heritage is great, whether it be direct or from afar.

I consider it a blessing to have found this board and its members.

That's an excellent observation, Jerry. Also, the diversity we have among the membership - a wide range of ages, many different types of occupations, as well as different nationalities. We all get along and respect each other. Almost makes me wonder if the kilt is the key to world peace.

    Smile This Forum

I'm very happy that this thread was started. This is a unique forum. Perhaps, the quality of this forum has some relationship to the kind of confidence one needs to have to wear a kilt. I'm constantly amazed at how little ego seems to popup in a negative way here. Males most of us are, but confident and competent males with a love of the kilt, its history and its future.

Yup, this is unlike any forum I've ever been a part of - including forums that include only my close friends - civility and concern for the feelings of others reigns supreme here.
