    A squirrel with your kilt?

Here is Elvis, one of our pets, checking out a kilt. He is an 8-year-old glaucomys volans (Southern Flying Squirrel)

He can easily glide over 100 feet, and he can scramble up your kilt or down your shirt before you realize what's going on. He is a fast little fellow. They were popular pets with school children in colonial New England during the 1700's.

I have always loved flying squirrels, ever since I heard about them in grade school. It would be fun to have one as a pet, though my wife would not want it, but my dog and cat may!

    Great shot! Beautiful animal!

Can you train him to hold your car keys and wallet? On second thought can you trust him with your money?

Jerry, very cute, but I want to know what tartan that is in the background. Nice looking and you don't see many in brown shades like that.

That is a Stillwater wool heavyweight that I had laying around. The tartan is a variation of Weathered Lamont.
