I completely agree Alan!!!! When I first came to this forum, I got caught up in the "must get more" attitude. You soon find out though that you can only wear one at a time, and that if you are not a full time kilt wearer (like Hamish, Ron, Graham, Bear, etc) than there is no real point to buying as many kilts as possible. I wear kilts anywhere from 3 days a week to once every 3 weeks. So it doesn't make sense for me to buy a new kilt every month.
Personally I would rather have my one really nice traditional in my family tartan, a nice casual kilt in my mother's tartan, and a lounging lightweight kilt for home. Of course I am hoping to make a traditional style kilt this year as well. Sure there are several tartans that I would love to own, but at this point I am actually getting rid of two good kilts (hopefully?!?) simply beacuase I don't wear them.

Neither did I. The only race I'm in is getting rid of pants. :-D
