No snow expected in the Binghamton area until after midnight, and then only an inch or so....

Looks like the weather spared our Kilt Night. See you at McGirk's!

How'd it go?
Brian-
How was the turnout? I wish we could have made it as we may not see you until April now. March will be Kilt Month and we'll be traveling with the band.
Hope we see you both during the St. Patrick's Day festivities!

We had seven kilts, Pat, plus a few spouses. There's a picture of some of us in the pics forum.
Looks like we might be changing the March night to March 4, after the Binghgamton parade.

For March, we are departing from our usual 2nd Saturday, and having "Kilt Night" on March 4th instead (this coming Saturday!).
This is St. Patrick's parade day in Binghamton, and lots of pipers roam the area that night, playing in the various pubs. Parade Day has gotten as big as actual St Patty's Day around here!
Music at McGirk's on the 4th will be "The Stoutmen" - traditional Irish tunes and instruments. www.stoutmen.com

This Saturday (8 April) is our "Tartan Day Kilt Night", still at McGirk's, with music by "West o'Clare" at 8:30pm. A highlight will be the "Flower of Scotland" sing-a-long...!

It pains me to tell you this, Brian, but I'm gonna miss this one. The kids have an event at school, and you know how that is.
Tell ya what - about 10 p.m., I'll grab a pint from the fridge, go out on the porch in me kilt and belt out a chorus or two of "Flower of Scotland."
Please give the gang my regards. I'll strive to be there next month.

May's "Twin Tiers Kilt Night" is this coming Saturday, the 13th, at McGirk's in Chenango Bridge (as usual!).
Not sure which band is playing that night. We'll have fun regardless...!
