    Belt Cases/pouches anyone?

Being new to the piping scene, I have nothing to put my wallet, beer markers, and tip money in while on tour with our band. The Pipers sporran that we wear has no compartment and I'm looking for some place to buy a case to go on my belt for this purpose.
Do you think I can find anything on the internet? I haven't so far. I'm looking for a leather case that slides onto my belt, like a police handcuff case does. It would need to be about 7 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. It needs a snap flap opening too.
Does anyone know of a place that sells such an item?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Have a look at these. http://www.sagebrushdesigns.ca/leather_pouch.html

I have one and I use it as an everyday casual sporran. It works like a dream! You can see it in action on the kilts page of my website. Link is in my sig.

If you decide to order one, let Sage (Chris) know that "Zipper" sent you to his site. :-)

I found a whole lot of cases for what must be small electronic gadgets - minidisc players and the like - at a local shop which takes bankrupt and excess stock and sells it cheaply. .

I bought a couple - one which will hold a glasses case and one twice that size. Both together cost three UK pounds - they were only nylon but the more expensive ones were both mock and real suede and leather, and there were many different shapes and sizes.

They had belts or straps as well as belt loops and hangers of various kinds so very versatile and rather handy for odd and ends

If you have similar shops it might be worth looking around in them.

    Check these guys:

    http://leatherunltd.com/

They have a lot of bags and such cheap...might be a case of you get what you pay for but also could be that they'r adequate for the purpose and "why pay more"?

Also look at some of the black powder/historical recreation stuff...i like the little shot glasses made out of horn...seems like a very trad way to do shots.

While the other suggestions are quite sharp they are not appropriate for a pipers uniform. My band just switched to horse hair sporrans which as you know no pockets. I bought the bands pouch wallets from the Celtic Piper. $21 for the small and $30 for the large. It slips right over your belt and you can slide it around to your back while playing to keep it out of the way. I think this is what your looking for:

They also sell 'neck pouches', you might be able to fit your wallet and tip money in there if you clean out your wallet a bit first- if I don't, mine is about an inch wide, but I have a slimmer one that only takes ID, two credit cards, and cash for when I need a smaller bundle.

But what are beer markers? I'm mystified.

Some horse hair sporrans do have a pouch on the back. Maybe check around for one of those.

You're overlooking the obvious- put a zipper on the side of your pipe bag. Plenty of room in there.

You may want to look at Galls.com, a public safety store. Look for closeable baton, flashlight, and pepper spray holders. They may have what you want.
