The Dreaded V-Day is upon us...
Whatcha doin'?
Not that I totally forgot until today that tomorrow is Valentine's Day and am looking for quick ideas or anything, not at all, I'm just uh, curious as to what you fellas are thinking would be a nice V Day outing or gift....
(Seriously, help! That San An trip took up my brain so completely I missed any ordering deadlines!)

I'm not doing anything as I have no girlfriend...except maybe crying myself to sleep.

Shay, a nice, intimate romantic dinner, just the two of you, should be one of the best things to do. I took my wife out for dinner early because she'll be working on V day on second shift.

Nice to see a lady forget v-day for a change...
no suggestions here as i usually spend the day dressed in black & scowling at anything V-day related... not that i am bitter, mind you... okay maybe a little bitter...
ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!
WARNING: I RUN WITH SCISSORS

Yes, well, there's the babysitter angle tho. Which I also forgot to get. And all my babysitting friends are in happy relationships, dangit.

My folks took the kids this past Saturday so my wife and I celebrated early and went to a B&B for the night. Nothing like sitting in an outdoor soaker tub with your honey and a nice glass of wine.

Shay, alternately, have a late dinner together at home after the ground gremlins are in bed. My wife and I did that when our 4 we little and money was tight. After all, it's the thought and love behind it that counts.

The dreaded V-day
I always buy my wife, Ann, a polyanthus in a pot for Valentine's day. Then it gets planted in the garden. Some vanish without trace while others continue to flower annually. Cards are a waste of money.

Unfortunately, I will be at my MILs house (no, not unfortunate because shes my MIL). On saturday afternoon, one of her sisters died after a lengthy illness and funeral is tomorrow morning. Any plans I may have had will now be postponed.

When you tell, and show, your partner/spouse/other-half every day that you love them, there is no need of a special day, drummed up for its commercial gains! In our 36 wonderful years together, my partner and I never once celebrated St.V's day - it was unnecessary!
