The Dreaded V-Day is upon us...

I always buy my wife, Ann, a polyanthus in a pot for Valentine's day. Then it gets planted in the garden. Some vanish without trace while others continue to flower annually. Cards are a waste of money.

Unfortunately, I will be at my MILs house (no, not unfortunate because shes my MIL). On saturday afternoon, one of her sisters died after a lengthy illness and funeral is tomorrow morning. Any plans I may have had will now be postponed.

When you tell, and show, your partner/spouse/other-half every day that you love them, there is no need of a special day, drummed up for its commercial gains! In our 36 wonderful years together, my partner and I never once celebrated St.V's day - it was unnecessary!

Well I did send my brother-in-law a birthday card!

I do agree with Ham, make every day a special day with them.

hmm..let's see. Fri night in Taos, Sat & Sun in Albq, Mon & Tues at the Grand Canyon, Wed & Thur in Lost Wages, Friday in Moab Sat somewhere around Eagle, CO and Home on Sunday. That should work ;)
