Did you just put your clan crest on a black fanny pack? that is a great idea. Does anyone else do that, or similiar. I have as of yet to purchase a sporan, and my utilikilts and Pittsburgh kilts have pockets, So I never really thought about it. Outside of an Opera with my wife, I dont think I would wear a big and fuzzy, (what was it someone else called it, a Mirkle?) sporan for everyday wear.

As a matter of fact, that's exactly what I did. The fanny pack with it's compartments is more versatile for me while working, so I bought a clan badge at Hector Russell when I was in San Francisco and pinned it on. I'm looking forward to seeing the nylon sporran from SWK though.

Dale the kilt looks great on you, glad you like it thanks you for the wonderful compliments. I might order the Maple Leaf tartan from MM if I get enough orders for it. I would love it in a heavier weight the pv in Canada is light and great for spring and summer. Anyone interested PM me.

Ah, don't let that stop you from considering it

Some will tell you that Nova Scotia is more traditional Celtic that Ireland or Scotland these days. Many old songs and tales that are long extinct in Ireland and Scotland still exist in Nova Scotia, brought over with the settlers a century ago.

I do love that Nova Scotia tartan and it looks great on you.

Got to find an excuse to go to Nova Scotia so I'll have an excuse to get a kilt in their tartan...won't be difficult to get my wife to go anywhere in Canada...might be difficult getting her to let me get another kilt, though.

That is one nice kilt.

This is one kilt I didn't see before it was shipped out. I really think the pattern is growing on me. It's nice to see a kilt made out of an East coast tartan. You get so use to seeing the usual family tartans and forget theres a world of tartans to choose from.
It's also nice to see an American embracing a tartan from a small Canadian province. The East coast of Canada does have the Celtic feel, the weather will also remind you of Scotland, England and Ireland.
